Here’s a shot in the dark:There have been rumors that the next Civic Hybrid would be built on the Euro Civic’s hatch design, and that the Insight would be killed off. That means the Civic Hybrid with the new battery tech would substitute both (5 door) Insight and Civic Hybrid (hatch shape better for efficiency) in North America. Apparently the Civic Coupe and Sedan would still be dedicated models, but the Hybrid would be the universal 5-door. This news would support that, although I have no idea and don’t necessarily believe it.
Honda’s IMA system sucks and everyone knows it. Honda has NO products right now. Their next generation Civic better be a winner or all is lost with them. The Accord’s last two generations were pieces of crap. The Civic is the only thing left with his company.It’s a shame, I remember when I would just drive to the Honda dealerships to droll over CRX Si’s, Preludes, S2000’s, and Civic EX Coupes…. not to mention the Acura dealership where I would droll over the Legend Coupe (Red with tan interior please), Integra Type R (White with white rims please), and NSX. How things have changed.
